Quicker, easier payments
We are reducing the number of clicks it takes to make a payment. Once you have logged in using your PIN or password and if you are sending a payment (of less than £3,000) to an existing beneficiary, you will be able to approve the payment without having to use your PIN or password again.
Name your accounts
As part of your online banking improvements, you will be able to give your online accounts names that mean something to you. Whether it is a memorable place, person, pastime or phrase, you can change your online account names whenever and however often you like...saving for France one year....saving for Spain the next!
Make international payments online
In response to demand from our customers, we are introducing an online international payment service. So, if you have a property abroad or need to send regular payments to another country, you can do this directly from your online accounts, and in almost any currency you might need. ( The exchange rates will be based on the prevailing market rate at the time of the payment being made.)
Search back further, find it faster
Do you need to find that payment you made last year, or to take a look at all the direct debits coming out of your account? We have introduced an enhanced search function that will enable you to search your previous 13 months' statements. We have also redesigned the look of your statement to give you more space.
What to expect and when
You will begin to see changes to how your online service works in early July and further services will become available throughout the year. These will include receiving your statements through your email box.
