You'll be supported by a dedicated relationship team at your local branch, who take the time to understand your business and its ambitions. Whether you’re managing your day-to-day finances or planning for future growth, we’re here to support you at every stage of your business journey.

You can use your account to manage income and expenditure, make payments in the UK and internationally, and hold balances in a range of currencies. Access is available through Corporate Online Banking and the Corporate Banking app, alongside personal support from your local branch.

Overdraft facilities are available, subject to eligibility. Eligible deposits are protected by the UK’s Deposit Guarantee Scheme.

What you’ll need to open an account

To apply for a Business Current Account, we’ll need some information about you and your business. Your local branch will guide you through the process and confirm exactly what’s required.

Typically, you’ll need:

  • Individuals to be aged 18 or over applying on behalf of the business
  • Residential address history (usually the past three years) for relevant individuals
  • At least one UK‑resident applicant, depending on your business structure
  • Your business details, including trading address and nature of activity
  • Business registration information, such as Companies House details (if applicable)
  • Information about owners, directors or partners, including identification and contact details
  • Financial information, such as expected turnover and tax status
