The Handelsbanken Business Debit Card is designed to make day‑to‑day business spending quick, simple and secure. All purchases and cash withdrawals are debited directly from your business account, helping you keep track of costs as they happen.

There’s no need to manage petty cash or write cheques, making it easier to control spending and keep records up to date.

With a Business Debit Card, you can:

Using your card outside the UK

You can use your Handelsbanken Business Debit Card to make purchases and withdraw cash when travelling outside the UK.

A 2.75% fee applies to all non‑sterling transactions, including card purchases and cash machine withdrawals. The fee is calculated based on the sterling equivalent of the transaction value. There is no minimum fee.

Card protection for business purchases

If there’s an issue with a purchase made using a Handelsbanken commercial card, we recommend contacting the supplier first, as this is often the quickest way to resolve the matter.

If that doesn’t resolve the issue, we may be able to help through the Mastercard chargeback process. This may apply in situations such as:

  • Goods or services not being received
  • Incorrect or duplicate charges
  • Faulty or defective goods
  • Transactions where a refund has not been received

Chargeback claims are usually subject to time limits and may require supporting evidence. Mastercard makes the final decision on whether a claim is accepted.

Chargeback is different from the protection available under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act, which does not apply to debit or charge cards.

  • Can I use the Business Debit Card with mobile payment services such as Apple Pay or Google Pay?

    Mobile payments are not currently available with the Business Debit Card. We're continually reviewing ways to enhance our products and services and will share any future developments with customers when appropriate.
