Introducing Digital ID
Digital ID is our new security app for Individual Online Banking which helps prevent fraudulent transactions. To log in or authorise transactions, you simply scan the unique QR code presented on screen by using the Digital ID app on your smartphone and then enter your passcode. Digital ID is available on Apple and Android smartphones.
Why use Digital ID?
Secure log-in process
Logging into Individual Online Banking is quick and easy; simply scan the QR code using your Digital ID app and enter your passcode.
Transaction signing
Use Digital ID to sign for transactions such as setting up or amending beneficiaries and processing payments.
Multiple devices
Use Digital ID on up to three devices without needing to use your log-on card and card reader.
Getting started
To activate Digital ID on your smartphone, make sure you have downloaded the app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Log in to Individual Online Banking using your log-on card, card reader and cable. Once logged in, click on ‘Mobile Banking’ then ‘Activate Digital ID’.
If you do not have a cable to use with your card reader, please contact your branch who will be happy to send a new one.
If you have not used the cable with your card reader some time, you may need to download the latest version of the security software which can be found here.
