As business owners there’s a lot that you can do to improve energy efficiency to cut costs and run your business more sustainably. Regulation and changes in law may mean these improvements become absolutely essential. Changes to your physical assets through to ways of working can have a real, beneficial impact to your bottom line and emissions. According to the Energy Saving Trust (2022) the average SME could reduce its energy bills by 18-25% by undertaking energy efficient measures. For our own business, we aim to have net zero emissions of greenhouse gases as soon as possible and by 2040 at the latest. This includes lending, leasing, and investments as well as our own operations.
